Enbridge takes Cyber Security seriously. We recognize that Cyber Security is a risk not only to Enbridge but to critical infrastructure globally. As the oil and gas industry as well as other industries have recently seen, cyber-attacks continue to increase and could result in business interruptions and theft of intellectual property/confidential information. Enbridge continues to develop and invest in advancements in cyber defense capabilities to protect our systems and deliver energy to our customers. Our approach is risk based with a multi-year Cyber Security Program which includes progress reported up to our Board of Directors. In support of our approach, we employ a robust governance framework aligned to NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO 27001 standards and monitor our control effectiveness in an increasingly complex threat landscape taking action to improve our security posture where appropriate. As part of our approach, we operate round the clock security operations center to monitor, detect and investigate anomalous activity in our network together with a cyber incident response process that we regularly test. In addition, we also contract independent cyber security assessments and audits to test that our defensive layers work as designed.
