NXUS DOT Pipeline Integrity Project
Tool Runs:
As part of NXUS's comprehensive integrity assessment of its pipeline system NXUS will be conducting cleaning and in-line inspection tool runs on various lines throughout its system. As a result of these in-line inspections, certain locations could be identified for an investigation which could lead to possible reduction of capacity. Should any of these investigations lead to a reduction of capacity, NXUS will post on the bulletin board as soon as it is known.
NXUS utilizes specific ILI tools designed by vendors to inspect for a certain type of threat that may exist on the pipeline. Depending on the type of the tool and in order to successful collect the data, the tool may need to be run a specific speed which determines the impact on pipeline capacity during the run. Furthermore, each tool has a different size and length depending on the tool type and vendor. Launcher and receivers, and other pipeline facilities may need to be modified in order to launch, receive and run the tool along the pipeline to ensure a successful run. Occasionally, combination tools, which are tools utilized to investigate multiple threats simultaneously, do exist for various pipe sizes and vendors. Since combinations do not exist for every pipe size or threat, there may be multiple tool runs needed for a particular segment which creates variability in the outage schedule timeframes. The following list contains the more common tool types NXUS utilizes and associated threat that the tool generally inspects the pipeline for. This is not an exhaustive list and there may be other exceptions for the types of threat each tool type looks for.

Tool Run Footnotes:
(1) NEXUS has been informed by Texas Eastern (TE) of the following pipeline outage that will impact receipts into NEXUS:
Colerain to Kensington 30" Line 73
ILI Tool Run: July 21, 2022
Tool Run Results/ Potential Repairs: TBD, 2022
As part of TE's comprehensive integrity assessment of its pipeline system, TE will conduct an in-line inspection tool run on its Colerain Station to Kensington 30" Line 73.
During the tool run, south to north capacity through Colerain compressor station will be limited to approximately 550,000 Dth/d.
In addition, during the tool run which is anticipated to last 8-10 hours, the following meters will be limited to an aggregate quantity of approximately 250,000 Dth/d (this includes TE and NEXUS leased capacity).
74201 - ACCESS MIDSTREAM CLARKS MILL ROAD-JEFFERSON CO.,OH
74202 - ACCESS MIDSTREAM HIGHWAY 219 - JEFFERSON CO., OH
Depending on the results of the ILI Tool runs and if further detailed investigations or an isolation is required, the worst case scenario is as follows:
Customers sourcing gas from meters South of Colerain Station, including TE's Mainline delivering to meters North of Colerain Station, including deliveries to NEXUS, will be reduced to 0 Dth/d. Depending on the level of nominated quantities, restrictions are possible for interruptible, secondary services and primary firm services.
(2) NEXUS has been informed by Texas Eastern (TE) of the following pipeline outage that will impact receipts into NEXUS:
Colerain to EOLN 30" Line 73
ILI Tool Run: July 19, 2022
Tool Run Results/ Potential Repairs: TBD, 2022
During the tool run, which is anticipated to last 8-10 hours, south to north capacity through Colerain compressor station will be limited to approximately 550,000 Dth/d.
Pipeline Outages:
Below is a list of potentially impactful mainline outages occurring on the NXUS system this year. Capacity impacts associated with these outages are reflected in the capacity matrix above.
***N4219 (DTE) Ypsilanti: April 12 - May 27 and June 14 - June 22
Nexus has been informed by DTE of pipeline maintenance occurring on their Willow segment north of its interconnect with Nexus-Ypsilanti. Depending on the level of nominations through this segment DTE may have to restrict volumes which could include the Ypsilanti interconnect.
During the period of April 12 - May 27 restrictions are not anticipated. However, during the period of June 14 - June 22 the following meters may see volumes restricted depending on the level of nominations:
N4307 - (DTE) ANR - WILLOW RUN - POOL RECEIPT
N4038 - (DTE) ANR- WILLOW RUN - RECEIPT
N4438 - (DTE) ANR - WILLOW RUN - DELIVERY
N4232 - (DTE) PEPL- SCOFIELD - DELIVERY
N4028 - (DTE) PEPL -MCON - RECEIPT
N4303 - (DTE) PEPL- MCON - POOL RECEIPT
*DTE-Willow Run Segment
4/12-5/27 At this time restrictions are not anticipated; however, if restrictions are necessary, NEXUS capacity thru the Willow Run Segment on DTE Pipeline will be reduced (capacity may vary based DTE's allocation of capacity to NEXUS). If restrictions are necessary, potential impacted primary delivery points include N4237 (DTE) Vector Milford Junction-DEL, N4035 (DTE) Union St. Clair-Del, and N4ST1 (VEC) St. Clair (US) as well as any secondary point on DTE Pipeline or Vector Pipeline downstream of the Willow Run Segment on DTE Pipeline.
6/14-6/22 Due to DTE maintenance, NEXUS capacity thru the Willow Run Segment on DTE Pipeline will be reduced from 1,151,000 Dth/d to approximately 851,000 Dth/d (capacity will vary based DTE's allocation of capacity to NEXUS). Potential impacted primary delivery points include N4237 (DTE) Vector Milford Junction-DEL, N4035 (DTE) Union St. Clair-Del, and N4ST1 (VEC) St. Clair (US) as well as any secondary point on DTE Pipeline or Vector Pipeline downstream of the Willow Run Segment on DTE Pipeline.
9/26-10/7 and 10/10-12/2 During these timeframes DTE will be performing maintenance, NEXUS capacity thru the Willow Run Segment on DTE Pipeline will be determined at a later date.
***NEXUS has been informed by Vector Pipeline of the following outage which will impact receipts on NEXUS at Meter N4MJ1 - (VEC) VECTOR MILFORD JUNCTION RECEIPT:
Due to Vector Pipeline planned maintenance, Meter N4MJ1 - (VEC) VECTOR MILFORD JUNCTION RECEIPT will be unavailable for flow on Gas Day July 12, 2022. Due to this planned maintenance at Meter N4MJ1, NEXUS delivery capacity to Meter N4ST1 - (VEC) ST.CLAIR (US) will be reduced from 455,000 Dth/d to 325,000 Dth/d.
Additionally during the outage, nominations to the following meters between Milford Junction and Belle River may potentially be restricted:
N4RO1 - (VEC) WASHINGTON 10
N4RM1 - (VEC) RAY
N4BW1 - (VEC) BLUEWATER
